GIGAette has been officially established as a spinoff company from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), bringing the revolutionary IsoTES® thermal energy storage technology to the commercial market.
The company was founded by a team of researchers and engineers who developed the core IsoTES® technology at KAIST’s thermal engineering department. The founding team brings decades of combined experience in thermal systems, energy storage, and industrial applications.
IsoTES® represents a breakthrough in thermal energy storage, using a patented single-tank design with a thermal piston mechanism that achieves the efficiency of traditional two-tank systems while requiring significantly less space and capital investment.
With initial funding and support from KAIST’s technology transfer office, GIGAette aims to bring IsoTES® to industrial customers seeking reliable, cost-effective solutions for thermal energy management and decarbonization.
