Uses an external circulation loop between the tank and heat exchangers. The thermal piston moves horizontally based on charging depth.
IU
Internally Unified
Integrates all components within the tank: heat transfer pipes, heating elements, and bubbling lines. Free from TESM solidification risk.
Hybrid
HTS + IU Combined
Combines internal heaters for charging and external circulation for discharging. Effective for large-scale applications.
