KOICA CTS Seed 2 Contract Signed

GIGAette signs contract with KOICA for the second phase of Clean Technology Solution project in Mongolia, expanding heating capacity to 100+ households.

GIGAette has signed a contract with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) for the second phase of the Clean Technology Solution (CTS) project in Mongolia, building on the success of the initial pilot deployment.

The KOICA CTS Seed 2 project will deploy a commercial-scale IsoTES® system with 30 MWhr capacity, providing clean heating to over 100 households in Tsetserleg Som, Arkhangai Province. This represents a significant scale-up from the Seed 1 project, which successfully demonstrated the technology’s viability in extreme cold conditions.

The system will feature three 10 MWhr IsoTES® units operating in parallel, with solar thermal collectors and electric heaters for charging. The project aims to reduce coal consumption and air pollution while providing reliable heating throughout Mongolia’s harsh winter months.

Installation is scheduled to begin in Q3 2025, with full operation expected before the winter heating season. The project serves as a model for sustainable heating solutions in cold climate regions worldwide.
