GIGAette has successfully completed the patent registration for its core IsoTES® thermal piston technology in Korea, securing intellectual property protection for its innovative approach to thermal energy storage.
The patented technology introduces a revolutionary single-tank design that eliminates the need for separate hot and cold storage tanks traditionally used in thermal energy storage systems. The thermal piston mechanism maintains a sharp temperature gradient within a single tank, achieving up to 50% space reduction compared to conventional two-tank systems.
Key innovations covered by the patent include the horizontal thermal stratification system, the proprietary thermal piston design, and the integration methods for various charging and discharging configurations.
International PCT applications have been filed to extend patent protection to major markets including the United States, European Union, China, and Japan. GIGAette expects these international patents to be granted within the next 18-24 months.
